Skill Reality

Use case

Pick, pack and receiving

Each pick step guided in the glasses. Camera confirms the SKU before advance. Every order logged with item-level confirmation.

The job to be done

Warehouse associates handle a high volume of SKUs with similar packaging. Mispicks and receiving errors create downstream problems that are expensive to unwind. A paper pick list or handheld scanner keeps one hand occupied and catches errors only after the fact. Skill Reality guides each pick step in the glasses, uses the camera to confirm the item before the associate moves on, and logs every pick with item-level confirmation.

Before and after Skill Reality

Without Skill Reality

  • Pick list is on a paper sheet or handheld scanner, one hand occupied
  • Similar SKU packaging makes visual confirmation unreliable
  • Errors are caught downstream at pack, ship, or by the customer
  • Root cause of a mispick is hard to trace after the fact
  • Receiving counts are reconciled manually against the packing slip

With Skill Reality

  • Each pick step is guided in the glasses, both hands free for the work
  • Camera confirms the SKU against the order before the step advances
  • Errors are caught at the point of pick, before they move downstream
  • Every pick is logged with item confirmation, quantity, and timestamp
  • Receiving discrepancies are flagged at the moment of receipt

How Skill Reality helps

Open the order, confirm each item, close the record

  1. 01. Associate opens the order by order number

The associate selects the pick or receiving order in the glasses using the order number. The correct pick sequence loads automatically, with bin locations and quantities for each line item.

  2. 02. Each item is displayed with bin location; camera confirms the SKU

The glasses show the next item, its bin location, and the required quantity. The camera scans the SKU before the step is marked complete. A mismatch stops the advance and prompts a recheck.

  3. 03. Completed order is logged with item-level confirmation

When all items are confirmed, the order record is closed automatically with item-level confirmation, quantity, and timestamp for each line. The warehouse lead has the record without any manual entry.
