Knowledge transfer

Capturing expertise from experienced workers and making it available to others.

Knowledge transfer is the process of capturing what skilled workers know and making that knowledge accessible to others. On a plant floor, this typically means converting the procedures that experienced operators carry in their heads into documented, repeatable instructions.

When a veteran operator leaves, retires, or moves to a different role, the knowledge they have built up over years can disappear with them. New workers are then left to figure out procedures from inadequate documents or from colleagues who learned the same way.

Skill Reality helps organisations capture procedural knowledge by converting existing SOPs into verified, step-by-step guided procedures. The analytics dashboard shows where new workers take longer or make errors, helping training leads identify which procedures need to be improved or retrained.
