Procedure compliance
The degree to which workers follow documented procedures as written.
Procedure compliance measures how closely workers’ actual actions match the steps defined in a written procedure. High compliance means workers are following the procedure as written. Low compliance means they are deviating, skipping steps, or substituting their own sequence.
Low procedure compliance is a common root cause of quality failures, food safety incidents, and equipment damage. Causes include procedures that are hard to follow, workers who are unfamiliar with the steps, or steps that feel unnecessary or unclear.
Skill Reality improves compliance by presenting one step at a time on smart glasses and wearables and recording completion of each step. Workers cannot advance until they confirm a step is done. The compliance dashboard shows step-level completion rates across shifts, procedures, and sites.
